The Member of Parliament for Bolgatanga central constituency, Hon Isaac Adongo together with the Municipal Director of Education on 20 May, 2019 embarked on unceremonious visits to a number of basic schools in the municipality.
The visits was as a results of a support package the MP has funded in collaboration with GES and Private schools operators to prepare the BECE candidates toward their final external Examination which comes off on 10th June 2019.
In all 2,743 candidates made up of 1,215 male (boys) and 1,528 (girls) drawn from both public and private schools within the municipality will benefit from unprecedented Fee Free Mock Examination support package.
The MP and his entourage included the municipal Director of Education Mrs Anne Estalla Kyeebo and her PRO Mr ZAKARI Abdul made their first call on ZAARE and SokabisiJHS where the MP is carrying out a renovation works on a number of class room blocks that was completely ripped off by the recent rain storms that hit the region. They also monitored the ongoing mock examination funded by the MP. At Preparatory JHS, YOROGO JHS and Fountain Gate JHS. In all the centres, it was refreshing to see the final year candidates busily writing their mock examination papers with confidence.
In a brief interaction with the various Head master/mistresses of the schools, hon Isaac Adongo revealed reasons why he has taken this laudable initiative and timely. He said the aim is to give the candidates a firsthand experience in external examination of such kind
He added that the mock exams was meant to prepare every candidate psychologically, mentally and also to raise the confidence level in order to be able to withstand the intimidation and exam phobia associated with BECE and WAEC.
In her part the municipal DIrector of Ghana Education Service Mrs Anne Estalla Kyeebo thanked the MP for the efforts made to lessened the burden of both parents and teachers, she praised the MP and like Oliver Twist asked for more of such gestures.
In another intervention the Bolgatanga MP has provided scholarship for over 300 students in the tertiary institutions in the 2018/2019 academic year.
The MP will also provide school uniforms to selected deprived pupils in the Basic schools. This idea came up during his visit. It was observed that some few pupil were seen wearing different outfits instead of the prescribed uniform..

A total of 16 Boreholes have been provided in various communities in the municipality. 12 put of the number has completed and in use and the remaining 4 are at various level of completion.

2) ZAARE West
3) Daportindongo East
4) SUMBURUNGU Azoribisi
5) SUMBURUNGU Yebongo.
6) YOROGO Tingeri.
8) SIRIGU kumblingo.
10) Tindonmolgo 2 boreholes
THE 4 BOREHOLES ARE AT VARIOUS STAGES OF COMPLETION
They are at:
13) Sumburungu Agoose
16) Sirigu Zuribisi.
These are the 4 latest Boreholes that will be sited in the above communities.
Talks have been concluded and lands acquired for the construction.
the MP is in talks with the municipal Health Directrate to roll out a mass Health Insurance for the Aged, youth and the poor.
The MP has acquired machines and will soon fund the training of 120 youth to acquire various trade to ease the chronic unemployment situation bedeviling the Nana Addo/Bawumia government.
